Dr. James “Rainman” Hoffman
Dr. Hoffman had the following UFO Encounter:
On Oct. 3, 1997 while flying the RX-1 PredatorUnmanned Aircraft System (UAS) in Croatia Dr. Hoffman witnessed a bright sphere approximately 90 degrees off the right wing of his aircraft that was flying the same speed as the Predator. Dr. Hoffman knew he was witnessing something quite extraordinary as in over 2000 hours of flight time he had never seen anything quite like this!
Dr. Hoffman, “Rainman” is a retired U.S. Air Force Special Operations Pilot and was the first USAF RQ-1 Predator UAS Pilot. He has over 2000 total flight hours in 8 different aircraft that include the T-38, F-16, and the RQ-1. Dr. Hoffman’s experience includes over 100 combat missions both in the Balkans and Iraq. During 2004-2008, he was the Chief of Armed Reconnaissance for Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and also the Lead Advisor to the Italian special operations Forces for combat operations in Iraq (NATO). As the former Director of the Joint Force Curriculum at the Air Command and Staff College, he designed and instructed courses for over 1600 Field Grade Officers. Dr. Hoffman is a Graduate of the following; the Joint Military Doctrine Course; the Joint Military Planning Course; and the Air Force Flight Safety Investigation School. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and Physics from Texas Christian University (TCU). In addition, he earned a Master’s Degree in Aeronautical Science (2001) and his Doctorate Degree in Homeland Security (2014). In 2015, he earned one of the first National FAA Flight Certifications in small UAS (Drones) at Auburn University. He is also a published Author.
Dr. Hoffman’s independent efforts now include the study of new technologies in direct support of Homeland Security and also conducts research in the field of UFOs.
